So all I’m thinking about at work today is how I need to power through the stagnating askchangeling arc, and how not wanting to do it is just dragging it out.
Well, that and some other less constructive thoughts. I think I’ve forgotten this is supposed to be fun and stress-relieving. But anyway, might actually turn asks off for the first time in my run, nuke the inbox, and just headbutt my way to the next interesting moment, see what happens. Hm.
And this is why I have pretty much banned storylines from my blog.
AND NOW, BEHIND THE SCENES OF FRIDAY’S UPDATE
here is the literal script:
(now i see that i forgot to draw panel 9 lol oops)
and then gem that somehow didn’t make it into the update
WAIT. THAT’S IT? THAT’S ALL THE SCRIPT IS?!
I need a reaction image for that.
You make Westwood scared. How can you have such an awesome story without scads and scads of planning?
And yes, the unused portion of Hurricane Fluttershy is a reference to two shapechanging/disguising species in Doctor Who and two more from G1 MLP.
Well, to be said, if I saved out all the text in my magical planning document it would be about 57.4kb so … there’s still a lot going on.
Aaaand I do most of the planning in my copious amounts of spiral notebooks, of which I have about… 27 spiral notebooks full?
…Buuuut yeah I keep most of the actual dialogue in my butt until i poot it out right before. And last update wasn’t exactly script-heavy.
I don’t keep notes of any kind.
Same here. My notes are the asks I need, and I make sure to save in a numbered order. Then I just draw stuff to them and hope it won’t suck.
Any plans I may have is by memory and if I forget anything, then I just shrug and think it wasn’t worth remembering then.
Pish-posh! I don’t even have them in order.
Yeah. I’m reeeeeeeallly slow at updating, and it’s a case of pick and choosing the right things to use.
Ask the Night Guards. Send in an ask, it’ll get used in a year.
Sorry about that.
One of my favourite things about having an ask blog is taking year-old asks and twisting their meaning to do random stuff.
But my motivation has buggered off to Tartarus or something. I’ll need to go on an epic journey of self-discovery to get it back.
Hang tight you lot.
